Did you know that metabolic syndrome doubles your risk of liver cancer? Diabetes, which is a disease associated with metabolic syndrome, also increases your risk of liver cancer. Diabetes is increasing more in the US especially as the obesity epidemic continues.

So when it comes to liver cancer you have a double dose risk of liver cancer, in addition to the other heart and stroke risks of metabolic syndrome.

How many more reasons do you need to get up exercise, eat healthy and reduce your risk??

Metabolic Syndrome and High Blood Sugar

This is big because metabolic syndrome increases your risk of diabetes by 5 times!!! If your fasting blood sugar is 100 mg/dl or higher, you are at risk for metabolic syndrome.

Diabetes is a big bad player and it does damage–BIG TIME!!!       DO NOT MESS WITH DIABETES.

Start a 10 minute exercise routine, 10 minutes -that’s all. It can help lower your risk- it’s a place to start. You can do this. I believe in you, now get up and do something!!!!

Metabolic Syndrome and High Blood Pressure

If your blood pressure is 135/85 mm Hg or higher  and/or you are taking blood pressure medicines, you are at risk for metabolic syndrome.

Learn strategies to lower your pressure: exercise, use less salt in your diet, use lemon juice as a salt substitute, learn to meditate or learn deep breathing techniques to get you through tough stressful times. These are helpful to lower your blood pressure. This can help you lower your risk of metabolic syndrome.

If others can lower their risk, so can you–so do it!!!!
